The Alpha Psi Chapter of Sigma Tau Gamma was founded on October 12, 1956 and has been housed at 329 E. Beaver Ave. since the early 1960's. In June of 1997, we were forced to leave our stately manor because it was sold by our landlord to a local real-estate company. In August of 2000, we moved to 243 South Pugh Street. As of Fall 2001, we initiated members 485-496, bringing our active membership to 31 active brothers.
In the summer of 2005 we relocated to our brand new house on 500 S. Allen Street. In the fall of 2007 we merged with the Altoona campus' brotherhood bringing our active brotherhood to 41. With our new brothers from altoona joining us this year, we currently have 46 brothers.
We take pride in being a close group of men, working towards a common goal. We thrive on good times with good friends, and we believe that the social aspect of our fraternity is an important part of the organization.
