The 'Alumnifest' is a bi-annual event held at the fraternity house, its purpose being the initiation of two different weekend-long celebrations. The event begins at 7 am on the Friday before homecoming in the Fall, and the White Rose Formal in the Spring. The event is held to encourage happiness and good spirits throughout the State College and University Park communities, while strengthening the bonds of brotherhood amongst both active members and returning alumni.
This tradition was started in spring of 1984 by the "'Alumnifest' Founding Fathers": Werner "Kegger" Jurinka, Joe Borsody, Pete Mervosh and Greg Powers. Unfortunately, due to state laws and IFC by-laws, this is a closed event.
The date for Spring 2009 Alumnifest is April 24. With many actives and alumni, we plan to celebrate Sig Tau style! Hope to see you all there!
